Also known as NAMT1_ARATH, NANMT1. Involved in nicotinate detoxification in planta (PubMed:28533213). Catalyzes the conversion of nicotinate to N-methylnicotinate, which is a detoxified form of endogenous nicotinate in planta (PubMed:28533213).
