Also known as RPAP3_HUMAN, RPAP3. Forms an interface between the RNA polymerase II enzyme and chaperone/scaffolding protein, suggesting that it is required to connect RNA polymerase II to regulators of protein complex formation. Tightly associated with the RNA polymerase II complex (PubMed:17643375). Component of the R2TP complex composed at least of PIHD1, RUVBL1, RUVBL2 and RPAP3 (PubMed:20864032). Interacts with PIH1D1 (PubMed:21078300). Interacts with TSC1 and TSC2 (PubMed:28561026). Interacts with PRPF8 and EFTUD2 in a ZNHIT2-dependent manner (PubMed:28561026).
